The latest workshop of LIFE CYCLE was held at the European Conference on Mobility Management (ECOMM) in Toulouse. Especially for this workshop, LIFE CYCLE teamed up with another EU-project, the "Active Travel Network" of the URBACT programme. "Active Travel Network" deals with the promotion of walking and cycling in Euope's small sized towns. You can find more information on the project here.
Together, the two projects held their workshop the 20th of May 2011. The workshop attracted 34 participants coming from local and national public administrations, energy agencies, transport consultancies, public transport providers, chambers of commerce and even from the airport management of London Heathrow. Please find the main presentation of the workshop here: LIFE CYCLE workshop at ECOMM 2011 (15,945 kB) During the workshop, the experts from the two projects presented the following actions:
- the kindergarten programme of Graz (AT)
- the new residents' tours of ADFC (DE)
- the Walking Miles of Weiz (AT)
- the cycling actions all year round programme (AT)
Next to slide shows, the workshop used the two video clips on the second hand bicycle market and companies' bicycle repair services for employees, both from Graz (AT). The clips have been done by ELTIS, the urban mobility portal. Have a look at the video case studies of ELTIS!
