Pupils

Pupils primary school
Primary school usually is the time when children can start to cycle independently from their parents in road traffic. In some countries it depends on achieving a license for this to move freely in road traffic already in primary school. Additionally, the step from cycling either in protected areas and play streets or under supervision of parents and adults to cycling independently means to take a large responsibility. LIFE CYCLE trains pupils to behave cycle safely in road traffic e.g. by practical lessons in real traffic situations. Furthermore, the project integrates cycling into the school business up to daily teaching routines.

Pupils secondary school
Pupils of secondary schools are the first age group that needs maintenance of the positive idea on cycling more than to gain new capabilities. They can already cycle safely and independently. But during this time, pupils are able to start driving a moped and the car later on. LIFE CYCLE strengthens the attachment to cycling mainly by incentive programmes, but also by lessons on the effect of cycling and motorised transportation.
