Municipality of KrakowMunicipality of Krakow is a governmental institution that serves about 750 thousand Krakow’s citizens. The Mayor of Krakow is Mr Jacek Majchrowski, there are also four deputy mayors responsible for such disciplines as civil infrastructure and investments, urban planning, education and culture. Municipality of Krakow has several departments and bureaus.
Project LIFE CYCLE is being implemented in one of them - the European Funds Bureau. This bureau is mainly responsible for coordinating the whole process of applying for external funds for investment and non-investment projects of the Municipality. On the other hand the bureau applies and implements some of the projects itself. Those deal with urban waste management systems, social campaigns that aim to raise awareness and sustainable behavior towards such topics as waste separation, incineration and recycling.
The personnel of the European Funds Bureau are twenty one imaginative, cheerful approachable and open-minded people who always try to make good use of their qualifications in everyday work.
