Cycling for seniors
The sports commission of Schaan had invited to a cycling afternoon for: bicycle check, test riding pedelecs and guided cycling tour through town.
Towards 20 people followed the invitation. The guided tour was offered by the VCL Verkehrs-Club Liechtenstein within the EU project "LifeCycle"; the office of public health is project partner in the campain bewusst(er)leben. "Safe in the saddle" teachers (Kathrin Ospelt-Hilbe, Robert Hilbe, Georg Sele) gave valuable tips for safe cycling. When cycling it es especially important to adhere to the rules and to feel and behave as steering a vehicle. Senior citicens are encouraged to use a bicycle as means of transport for their everyday journeys in town. For their own health and to protect nature.
