New residents' tours
How do you successfully plan and implement bicycle tours for new residents? 19 activists from all over Germany met to share their experiences
Some of them have already been doing these tours, others would like to introduce them in their local tour programme. The meeting in Düsseldorf on October 21st started with a small guided bicycle tour, thus giving the participants a direct experience of the important features in planning a new residents' tour.
Most of the tours attract not only new residents, but tourists, people restarting to cycle, or simply longtime residents interested in seeing their city from another perspective. The combination of a low-level cycling tour with information and communication seems to be attractive.
